lain Giraud is the chef of his very small and very true French restaurant that is gourmet-sophisticated without the French service fluff. When you reserve a table choose indoor or outdoor garden dining. Three prix fixe menus five-course ($60), seven-course ($70), and eight-course ($90). One nice dish was the crab and melon "cannelloni". Bastide's dessert is lavender ice cream roped with a shell of meringue, softly whipped cream and strawberry slices.
